The latest Slacker Firmware update (Build 1.4.100) is now available for Slacker Users. Because Slackers are….well….Slackers, the update is very easy and straight forward. In fact, you may not even realize that it happens!!
This build includes:
- General enhancements
- Additional features such as auto-pause & resume when you plug and unplug headphones
You can update the Slacker Portable simply by doing a standard station refresh. It’s best to have the player charged while doing this. Once you’re done you can check to make sure that firmware build reads 1.4.100 by going to Settings ; About.

With the portable player, you can take your radio stations with you, and better yet, you will soon be able to update the playlists and discover new music while in your car via satellite.
